MJ Kloss provides experienced kitchen fitters and bathroom fitters for homes, rental properties, offices and schools throughout London, Greater London, Surrey and Kent. From stripping out and plumbing to plastering, tiling, installation and decorating, our own team does the work, so you have a single contact and a fully finished room when we go. We don't carry out electrical or gas work.

    We do not fit anything until we have checked that the walls are in good condition, the floors are even and areas exposed to water have been made fully waterproof.

    How We Can Help You

    Fitting kitchens

    Our fitters make sure units, doors, worktops and splashbacks are straight and level, then connect the plumbing for the sink and appliances, leaving your kitchen ready to use.

    Bathroom fitting

    We install bathtubs, showers, basins and toilets, complete with neat pipework, clean boxing-in and thoroughly sealed joints.

    Walk-in showers and wet rooms

    MJ Kloss applies tanking to walls and floors prior to tiling, producing durable, watertight walk-in showers and wet rooms.

    Decorating and tiling

    Our in-house decorators and tilers complete the room, handling everything from floors and splashbacks to painting woodwork, ceilings and walls.

    Washrooms for schools and commercial premises

    When working in offices, shops and schools, our team renovates employee kitchens and washrooms around your operating hours or during holiday periods.

    Planning Your New Kitchen or Bathroom

    A small amount of planning helps the work proceed without a hitch. Prior to starting, it is helpful to determine:

    • Your kitchen or bathroom suite – supplied and fitted by us, or bought from the supplier you prefer and delivered in time for the job to begin
    • Layout – the positions of units, sanitaryware and appliances, so we can plan the pipework
    • Tiles and finishes – wall and floor tiles, worktops and the colours of paint
    • Electrical work – sockets, lighting and extractor fans, organised with your electrician so everything is in place at the right point
    • Temporary arrangements – a place to wash or cook while the room can't be used

    Our estimator will review every point with you during their visit.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Do you install kitchens or bathrooms that I've purchased myself?

    Yes. We can supply and fit your new kitchen or bathroom, or install one you've bought from a supplier you like. If you're still deciding, our estimator can go through layout options with you and explain what to watch for before you make a purchase.

    How much time does it take to fit a kitchen or bathroom?

    The time needed varies with the room's size and the work required, including any replastering, new pipework or tiling. We'll set out a clear timescale in your quotation and update you throughout the project.

    Will I have to go without a kitchen or bathroom for very long?

    We organise every job to minimise disruption. If you have no other bathroom, we'll get a usable toilet back in place as soon as we can and give you advance notice any time we need to shut off the water.

    Are you able to create a walk-in shower or wet room?

    Yes. We fit walk-in showers as well as wet rooms, waterproofing the walls and floor prior to tiling to ensure the space is completely watertight.

    Will you decorate the room once the work finishes?

    Yes, and this is where MJ Kloss differs. With our background in decorating, we can paint the walls, ceilings and woodwork after the fitting is done, leaving the whole room finished.
