    Getting Surfaces Ready

    Prior to beginning any tiling work, we inspect, mend and flatten each surface. Should walls require plastering, our in-house plasterers take care of it so nothing is left to chance.

    Craftsmanship

    Our tilers plan each layout with care, select suitable adhesives and grouts, and make wet areas waterproof. Paying attention to these details prevents tiles from cracking, coming loose or leaking.

    Completion

    You can expect straight grout lines, clean silicone and tidy edges. If you'd like the room decorated afterwards, our own decorators can do it.

    Questions That Come Up Frequently

    Can I provide my own tiles?

    Of course. We'll gladly lay tiles that you've picked out. Should you want some advice, our estimator can recommend tiles, adhesives and grout that suit the room, the surface and the way the space will be used.

    Is it possible to tile on top of existing tiles?

    Sometimes, provided the current tiles are securely fixed and the surface is level. In most cases our estimator recommends removing them so the new tiles adhere correctly and the finished wall or floor does not become too thick. They will inspect during their visit and give you straightforward advice.

    How much time does tiling take?

    That depends on the size of the space, which tiles are chosen and what preparation is required. A standard bathroom takes a few days, giving the adhesive and grout time to set properly. A clear timescale will be set out in your quotation.

    Do you fix loose or cracked tiles, or redo grout?

    Yes. Our tilers take out damaged tiles and fit replacements, secure any that are loose, and remove and replace worn or mouldy grout and silicone. This can give a bathroom or kitchen a fresh look without re-tiling it completely.

    Can you lay tiles on top of underfloor heating?

    Certainly. Tiles can be laid over underfloor heating systems fitted and linked by a certified electrician or heating specialist, employing adaptable adhesives and grouts appropriate for warmed floors.
